so the new years has come and gone. the holiday season is over, and things have relaxed.

christmas and new years were great. Troy got christmas off, and we went into the firehall to have christmas dinner with his crew (who had to work) and their families. seeing where troy works was really cool, and we got to go for a ride in a crash truck out on the tarmac and see the base from the other side. it was really great.

Mom and dad came out for five days and we were joined by Gary, dads older brother for two days. We all had a blast, especially on new years. Troy worked, but mom, dad and i partied hard with boardgames, new years comedy specials and champagne.

i've been reading alot with something like 25 books under my belt since jan 1st.

troy at work today, after two days of recuperating after a minor surgical proceedure. he is quite happy to be off bedrest and is feeling great.

i hope everyone is doing well with the new year
